Blues, Brews, & BBQ

Every November, HarborWalk Village turns its dock into one big tasting table. Blues, Brews & BBQ is the reason why. Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. This is one of those Destin afternoons you don’t want to accidentally miss.

What to Expect on the Harbor

This one’s part food festival, part block party. Local restaurants, breweries, and distilleries set up along the harbor. They go head to head for bragging rights in categories like best barbecue, best local brew, and most creative cocktail. You get a say in who wins, too, because every ticket gets you a vote in the People’s Choice Awards.

Here’s the part we love: every category winner earns a donation for the local charity of their choice. So every plate and pour you sample that afternoon does a little good for the community, too.

Add in live blues music on the Main Stage and one of the best waterfront views in Destin. The vendor lineup is still being finalized. Then toss in free on-site parking, and you’ve got a solid way to spend a Saturday.

The Music Lineup Is Still Coming

Live blues runs the whole afternoon at Blues, Brews & BBQ, right on the Main Stage. As of this writing, though, HarborWalk Village hasn’t announced who’s actually playing. We’ll update this guide with set times as soon as that lineup drops. So bookmark this page if you’re picking your Saturday plans around the music.

Worth the Upgrade: The VIP Hour

If you like the idea of getting a head start on the afternoon, VIP tickets are worth a look. They buy you an extra hour before the gates open to everyone else. From noon to 1:00 PM, VIP guests head up to the On The Rocks bar on HarborWalk Village’s second floor. That means a cocktail hour with a harbor view and a lot less elbow-to-elbow crowd.

Timber Creek Barrel-Aged Vermont Maple Syrup bottle

This year’s VIP pour is a bacon-fat washed maple old fashioned. It’s made with Florida Whiskey and Barrel-Aged Vermont Maple Syrup from Timber Creek Distillery. That’s the craft distillery out in Crestview, about 45 miles up the road. There’s also a short talk, roughly 30 minutes, on how the cocktail comes together. Expect the fat washing technique, a little old fashioned history, and what makes the whiskey behind it different.

VIP wraps right at 1:00 PM, exactly when general admission opens. So you’re not missing a minute of the main event by treating yourself first.

A Quick Word on Fat Washing

If “bacon-fat washed” sounds more like a science experiment than a cocktail, here’s the short version. First, bartenders stir a fat, in this case rendered bacon fat, into a spirit and let it sit so the flavor transfers in. Then they chill the mix until the fat hardens and strain it out. What’s left behind is all th

e savory flavor and none of the grease.

It’s a real bartending technique, not a gimmick. That’s the kind of detail that makes a VIP add-on feel worth the extra ticket price.

The maple syrup in the mix is its own story, too. It’s pure Vermont maple syrup, aged six months in emptied Florida Black Rye Whiskey barrels. So the sweetener already carries a subtle, spicy whiskey note before it ever hits your glass.

Tickets and Pricing

Tickets for Blues, Brews & BBQ are on sale now through Event Live. All four tiers below are current Early Bird pricing.

Ticket Tier Early Bird Price (incl. fees)
Under 21 $33.80
Military General Admission $39.27
General Admission $44.73
VIP $88.43

General admission gets you the full 1:00 to 4:00 PM festival. VIP adds that noon-to-1:00 PM cocktail hour on top. One thing worth knowing before you check out: all sales are final. So double-check the date and the tier before you buy.

Parking and Getting There

HarborWalk Village is offering free on-site parking for ticket holders, which is always a nice surprise on the harbor. If the lot and garage fill up, though, there are city-owned lots just across the street as a backup. The city sets and can change that pricing on its own. Either way, plan to arrive early, because a busy Saturday plus a noon VIP start means the good parking goes fast.

Where to Stay Nearby

Want to skip the drive home after your last sample? HarborWalk Village has lodging built right in. Both Emerald Grande and Harbor Suites sit steps from the festival grounds. So you can walk to the Main Stage, the tasting tables, and the VIP bar, then walk right back to your room.

Plan Your Visit

Blues, Brews & BBQ is shaping up to be one of the better reasons to be on the Destin harbor this November. Grab your tickets while Early Bird pricing lasts. Pick your parking plan, and if the VIP hour is calling your name, that’s your excuse to make a whole day of it.
