Holiday Inn Express & Suites Panama City Beach – Beachfront is a nine-story IHG hotel on the Gulf at 12907 Front Beach Road, in the middle of Panama City Beach’s Front Beach Road corridor. It sits directly on the beach, and it offers more pool amenities than most limited-service hotels, which suits families.
The hotel has 147 rooms and suites across nine floors, all non-smoking. Many rooms face the Gulf, with views over the pool deck to the beach, and the suites add a separate seating area that gives families extra space.
The pool deck is the highlight. It includes a zero-entry outdoor pool, a second outdoor pool, a lazy river, and a hot tub, and there is also an indoor heated pool for cooler days. The Indigo Bar & Grille, set on the pool deck overlooking the beach, serves food and drinks from mid-morning into the evening, and a beach bar and poolside bar add more options. The Days Inn, Banana Peel Lodge, and other beachfront hotels are close neighbors, and St. Andrews State Park and the Thomas Drive area are an easy drive east. Shipwreck Island Waterpark and the M.B. Miller County Pier are close by, and Gulf World Marine Park is a short drive west. The beach in front of the hotel is broad and popular in summer, with beach chair rentals available.
This property suits families who want a lazy river and an indoor pool along with breakfast included, as well as IHG One Rewards members who want to stay on the beach. Couples and friends traveling together will also appreciate the poolside bar and grill. Because it is a limited-service hotel, there is no full restaurant beyond the pool-deck grill, but the surrounding area has plenty of dining within a short drive.
