Bikini Beach Resort is a retro beachfront hotel at 11001 Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach, operated by Innisfree Hotels. The property dates to 1957 and calls itself a throwback and a hometown treasure with vintage appeal, pairing an Old Florida look with modern updates. It sits directly on the Gulf in the eastern part of the Front Beach Road corridor.
The hotel has 100 rooms spread across three buildings of up to five floors. Room types include queen rooms facing the beach or inland, deluxe queen rooms with a beach-view balcony or patio, deluxe rooms with two queens and a kitchenette, an accessible king room, and a three-bed suite with a kitchenette and a Gulf view. Many rooms have private balconies overlooking the water, and full kitchens are available in select rooms. The three-bed suite is a good fit for families or friends traveling together, and the kitchenette rooms make it easy to keep breakfast and snacks on hand.
The Gulf-front pool is the focal point, with sun loungers and umbrellas, and the seasonal Bikini Beach Tiki Bar serves drinks poolside. There is an additional bar and lounge, and the resort partners with a local vendor for seasonal beach chair and umbrella service on the sand. Other amenities include barbecue grills, a gift shop, guest laundry, free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour front desk. Parking is available for a daily fee. The resort markets itself on the personalized service that comes with a smaller, boutique-scale property.
Several restaurants are within walking distance, and the resort is close to family attractions on Front Beach Road such as Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Shipwreck Island Waterpark. Pier Park is a short drive west. Majestic Beach Resort and Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort are close neighbors, and Thomas Drive and St. Andrews State Park are a short drive east. The beach in front of the resort is wide and popular in summer, with water sports available nearby.
Bikini Beach Resort suits travelers who like a smaller, personal beachfront hotel with vintage character, families who want a kitchenette or a three-bed suite, and couples who want a balcony over the Gulf at a moderate price. It is a casual property without a full restaurant, but the beach, pool, and tiki bar cover most of what guests come for.
