Club Wyndham Panama City Beach

Club Wyndham Panama City Beach is a 25-story vacation club resort on the Gulf at 14700 Front Beach Road, about two miles east of Pier Park. It is part of Wyndham’s timeshare system, but nightly stays are also sold to the public, and the resort runs like a hotel with a 24/7 front desk. Every suite has a private balcony facing the Gulf of Mexico.

The resort has 264 units in three sizes. Studio suites run about 477 square feet and sleep two, with a kitchenette. One-bedroom suites range from about 803 to 950 square feet and sleep four, and two-bedroom suites run roughly 1,093 to 1,179 square feet and sleep six; both of the larger sizes have full kitchens. Decor is contemporary and beach-themed, and the suite format suits families who want to cook and spread out. The larger suites include in-unit dining areas, and the balconies give every unit a Gulf view, which is not always the case at resorts of this size.

Outdoors, the resort has two pools, a children’s pool, and two hot tubs overlooking the beach, plus an on-site tiki bar. Indoors there is a coffee shop with Wi-Fi, a fitness center, an arcade and game room with billiards, and a sky bridge bar. Daily housekeeping is available for a fee, as is typical of vacation club resorts, and Wi-Fi and self-parking are free.

The beach is steps from the pool deck, and a beach activity center next door offers parasailing and jet skiing. The central Front Beach Road corridor around the resort has restaurants, mini golf, and other attractions, and Pier Park’s shopping and dining are a short drive west. Gulf World Marine Park, a long-running marine attraction on Front Beach Road, is a short drive west, as is Pier Park with its SkyWheel and restaurants. The beach in front of the resort is broad and busy in summer, and quieter in fall and winter.

Club Wyndham Panama City Beach suits families and groups who want condo-style suites with kitchens and balconies but prefer the reliability of a staffed front desk and a major brand. Wyndham owners use it with their points, while other travelers can book directly or through online travel sites. Studio suites work well for couples who want a kitchenette and a Gulf view at a lower price than the larger suites.
