Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Walton Beach – Eglin Area opened in 2025 at 300 Liberty Lane NW, a short side street in the growing hotel cluster off Lewis Turner Boulevard on the north side of Fort Walton Beach. The hotel was named an IHG Newcomer award recipient in its first year. It sits well inland from the tourist strip, which puts Eglin Air Force Base and the Air Force Armament Museum about five miles away and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport about seven miles away.

The six-story building has 115 rooms, including suites, and every room has a microwave and refrigerator. The property is smoke-free, and an aviation-themed boardroom seats 12 for small meetings or training sessions.
