IHG lists Southern Raceway about three miles away, historic downtown Milton about five miles, Blackwater River State Park about seven miles, Navarre Beach about 20 miles and Pensacola International Airport about 20 miles.

The three-story hotel has 64 rooms, including suites and one-bedroom suites, and all of the interior rooms open onto a three-story atrium lobby. Breakfast is free every morning, with later hours on weekends. The outdoor pool is open seasonally, and there is a 24 hour fitness center and a 24 hour business center. Housekeeping is limited, and the hotel is smoke free.

Parking is free, with room for buses, RVs and trucks. The hotel does not accept pets and does not run a shuttle or restaurant.

Milton is the gateway to Santa Rosa County’s rivers, and the hotel is a practical base for canoeing, kayaking and tubing on the Blackwater River, Coldwater Creek and Sweetwater Creek, as well as for Southern Raceway events and visits to Naval Air Station Whiting Field north of town. State Road 87 runs south to Navarre and its beach, so the Gulf is an easy day trip. Chain restaurants and gas stations sit at the interchange, which helps for early starts on the river or late arrivals off the interstate.
