About

Beachside Resort Panama City Beach sits directly on the Gulf at 21905 Front Beach Road in the Sunnyside area, on the quiet western end of Panama City Beach. It is operated by Innisfree Hotels, a Gulf Coast hotel company, and it leans into a classic Old Florida style with retro coastal decor and an easygoing pace. The surrounding area is mostly low-rise homes and small condo buildings, so the beach here feels more open and far less crowded than the stretch near Pier Park.

The hotel has 147 rooms in two buildings of up to seven floors. Room types include queen rooms with inland views, double queen rooms, two-room suites, and king rooms with a sofa bed, some with kitchen setups, and many rooms face the Gulf directly. All rooms have 50-inch televisions and upgraded bedding, and accessible rooms include Gulf-front double queen and king roll-in shower options. Wireless internet is included, and self parking is available for a daily fee. The resort originally opened in 1997 and has since been renovated, with updated rooms and a newly redone beachfront pool. Express check-out and a 24-hour front desk make arrivals and departures simple, and the staff can help arrange beach setups.

The pool deck sits right beside the sand, with a seasonally heated beachfront pool and a Gulf-front hot tub. The Reef, the hotel’s beach bar and grill, serves drinks and casual food steps from the water. Other amenities include a 24-hour fitness room, an outdoor pickleball court, barbecue grills, and guest laundry. Beach setups with chairs and umbrellas are available, and the hotel is a convenient launch point for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing from the beach, and snorkeling on calm days. The property holds Green Key Global sustainability certification, and pets are not permitted other than service animals.

The location is a short drive from several of the area’s natural highlights. Camp Helen State Park, where Lake Powell meets the Gulf, is only a few minutes west, and Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and the rest of Scenic Highway 30A are close enough for dinner or a bike ride. Pier Park is a short drive east for shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, and Front Beach Road and Back Beach Road connect to grocery stores and casual seafood restaurants along the way.

Beachside Resort suits couples, families, and friends who want a hotel stay directly on the beach but prefer quiet evenings to the busier central strip. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. It is a practical choice for travelers who plan to split time between Panama City Beach attractions and the beach towns of 30A, and for anyone who likes the idea of a relaxed, retro-style beach hotel with a bar on the sand.
