Sunrise Beach Resort

Sunrise Beach Resort is a 24-story Gulf-front condominium tower at 14825 Front Beach Road, just east of Pier Park in Panama City Beach. Completed in 2005, it is a family-oriented building with a raised tropical pool deck and a good range of on-site amenities, and it sits next to Emerald Beach Resort on this busy central stretch.

The tower has about 215 condos in one-, two- and three-bedroom plans. One-bedroom units are around 800 to 860 square feet, and three-bedroom layouts reach about 1,575 square feet. Units have Gulf-front balconies, full kitchens and laundry, and parking is in a garage under the building.

The elevated pool deck holds two large Gulf-front pools, one heated seasonally, and two hot tubs, plus a children’s splash pad and spray park. A fitness center of about 2,000 square feet looks out over the Gulf. There is also a clubhouse with a full kitchen, a private theater room, a barbecue area with gas grills, the Soggy Dollar Cafe on site and 24-hour security. Some rental companies include a seasonal beach setup of chairs and an umbrella with their units, and guests typically pre-register for resort access before arrival.

Pier Park is a short trip west for shopping, dining and the Russell-Fields City Pier, and Aaron Bessant Park and Frank Brown Park are nearby for events and outdoor recreation. Gulf World Marine Park and the attractions along Front Beach Road are a few minutes east. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is about 15 miles away.

Units at Sunrise Beach are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies, so furnishings, bed layouts, parking rules and extras such as seasonal beach chair service vary from one unit to the next. Families with young children often like the splash area and theater room, while couples appreciate being close to Pier Park.
