Hotel Margot sits at 200 North Palafox Street, on the stretch of Pensacola’s main downtown corridor just north of Garden Street. The property occupies the address long known as Solé Inn and Suites, and it reopened in 2026 after a full renovation under the new name. Local reporting on downtown hotel projects listed the Margot renovation at 45 rooms, the same count the hotel gives today.

The rooms are the main draw. The hotel describes its 45 rooms as falling into three curated moods, with nine room types ranging from classic rooms to larger premier and signature suites. Interiors lean on saturated color and texture, from deep botanical tones to soft velvets, and rooms come with premium bedding, a pillow menu and 55 inch smart TVs set up for streaming. Suites give families or longer stays more room to spread out.

The courtyard pool is the social center of the property, with reserved loungers and shade, and on weekends the hotel brings in a DJ. Colette, the in-house bakery and coffee counter, handles the morning with espresso drinks and European style sourdough, and it also draws neighborhood regulars. Booking sites list two bars on site along with free self parking, which is useful on a busy downtown block. Dogs are welcome for a nightly fee, so travelers with a pet have an option right on Palafox.

Location is the other half of the appeal. From the front door it is a short walk south along Palafox to the restaurants, bars and shops between Garden Street and the waterfront, the Saenger Theatre, Plaza Ferdinand VII and the Saturday Palafox Market. Seville Square and Historic Pensacola Village are a slightly longer stroll to the southeast, and Blue Wahoos Stadium and the bayfront are within reach on foot or by a quick ride. The beaches are a drive across the bay.

Hotel Margot suits couples, friends on a weekend away and wedding groups who want a styled place to stay in the middle of downtown, with a pool to come back to after a day on Palafox. The whole property can also be booked out for private events, which makes it a practical base for a wedding party or reunion that wants its own space.
