Courtyard Pensacola Downtown sits at 700 East Chase Street on the east side of downtown, next door to its sister Residence Inn and a few blocks from the bayfront. It is a straightforward branded hotel with free parking, which makes it a common base for visitors who plan to drive between downtown, the beaches and Naval Air Station Pensacola.
The five-story hotel has 120 rooms, including accessible rooms with mobility features, all with the flexible work and lounge setup that is standard for the brand. Mobile key, a 24-hour front desk, a business center, meeting space and a small market for snacks and essentials cover the practical side of a stay. Wifi is complimentary for Marriott Bonvoy members, and the Residence Inn next door gives larger groups a second option on the same block.
The Bistro serves breakfast and dinner along with Starbucks coffee, and there is a bar and lounge for an evening drink. Outdoors, a landscaped courtyard has a pool, a whirlpool and a fire pit, and the hotel also has a fitness center and sports courts. Self parking is free, though RVs, boats and trailers are not allowed. Pets are not permitted, apart from service animals. The fire pit and courtyard seating make an easy spot to unwind without leaving the property.
Several well-known local restaurants are within walking distance, including McGuire’s Irish Pub, The Pensacola Fish House and Another Broken Egg. The Pensacola Visitor Information Center is about a nine-minute walk away, the Pensacola Bay Center, where the Pensacola Ice Flyers play hockey, about 12 minutes and Seville Square about 16 minutes on foot. Palafox Street, Plaza de Luna and Blue Wahoos Stadium are a short drive or a longer walk to the west, and Pensacola International Airport is roughly five miles north. There is no airport shuttle, although the hotel can help arrange other transportation on request.
The Courtyard suits business travelers, sports teams and event crowds heading to the Bay Center, and families who want a dependable chain hotel with a pool and dinner on site. It also works for visitors who plan to split their time between downtown and Pensacola Beach and want easy parking at the end of the day.
