About
Red Roof Inn Pensacola – I-10 at Davis Highway is at 7340 Plantation Road, in the row of budget hotels just west of North Davis Highway and south of Interstate 10. University Town Plaza is a five minute walk, and McDonald’s, Texas Roadhouse and Whataburger are all within a short walk.
The property has 108 rooms in two buildings of two floors each, with exterior corridors in the classic motor inn layout, and it opened in 1982. The format is basic: free WiFi, free parking beside the rooms and a 24 hour front desk. Daily housekeeping is provided for shorter stays. The hotel does not have a pool, breakfast or guest laundry.
Red Roof is one of the most pet-friendly chains in the country, and this location allows up to two dogs or cats per room with a generous weight limit, for a nightly fee.
Expedia lists the University of West Florida about three miles away, Grizzly Axes about a mile away, downtown’s Saenger Theatre about eight miles away and Naval Air Station Pensacola about 14 miles away, with the airport roughly 12 minutes by car. It is a no-frills choice for travelers on a tight budget, pet owners and Interstate 10 drivers who just need a room close to the highway. Parking right outside the door makes it easy to unload a car or check on a truck and trailer overnight.
