Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pensacola W I-10 is at 130 Loblolly Lane, off Pine Forest Road at Interstate 10 exit 7. IHG lists Five Flags Speedway a little over a mile away, the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds about two miles away, the National Naval Aviation Museum about 13 miles, Pensacola Beach about 15 miles and Fort Pickens about 20 miles. Pensacola International Airport is roughly 12 miles east.
Breakfast is free every morning, and IHG makes a point of the hotel’s cinnamon rolls. The pool is indoors and heated, which keeps it usable in winter, and there is a 24 hour fitness center and a 24 hour business center. A bean-to-cup coffee machine runs around the clock in the lobby, and WiFi is free.
The parking lot is one of this hotel’s practical advantages. It is free and set up for large vehicles, including trailers, RVs, buses and trucks, which suits race teams, anglers towing boats and youth sports groups traveling by bus. The hotel is also dog friendly, allowing up to two dogs under a weight limit for a nonrefundable fee per pet. There is no shuttle.
Restaurants and stores line Pine Forest Road, and the hotel sits on the west side of the city, handy for Perdido Key, the Alabama line and Navy Federal Credit Union’s campus on Nine Mile Road.
