Home2 Suites by Hilton Niceville Eglin Air Force Base opened in January 2024 at 792 West John Sims Parkway, on the Valparaiso end of Niceville’s main commercial road. Hilton places Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport about 3.7 miles away, Eglin Air Force Base about six miles and Northwest Florida State College about three miles.
The three-story, all-suite hotel has 83 suites, each with an in-room kitchen, so guests on longer assignments can shop and cook rather than eat out every night. It is designed for extended stays, with work space in the suites and a business center downstairs. Rooms are non-smoking and Wi-Fi is free in rooms and the lobby.
A free hot breakfast is served daily. The outdoor pool has barbecue grills nearby, and the fitness center is open 24 hours. Parking is complimentary and includes Tesla EV chargers. Up to two pets of up to 75 pounds are welcome for a fee that depends on the length of stay. Guests can reach the hotel by email as well as by phone for group or long-stay questions.
This hotel suits temporary duty travel, contractors, relocating families and parents visiting students at the college. Turkey Creek Nature Trail, Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park and the Mid-Bay Bridge route to Destin’s beaches are all within an easy drive. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. Duke Field is about 11 miles north.
