Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bonifay sits on Washington Drive at Interstate 10 Exit 112, where State Road 79 meets the interstate on the south side of Bonifay, the Holmes County seat. The three-story hotel has 65 standard rooms and suites.
Breakfast is free each morning from 6 to 9:30 a.m., with hot items such as bacon and eggs alongside the brand’s cinnamon rolls, and bean-to-cup coffee. Rooms come with a 55-inch TV, refrigerator and microwave, and housekeeping is daily. There is an outdoor pool and a fitness center, and kids eat free. Parking is complimentary and has room for buses, trucks, trailers and RVs, which suits anglers and anyone hauling a boat. Pets are not permitted.
Bonifay is springs and state park country. Falling Waters State Park, known for its sinkhole waterfall, is about 13 miles east, Ponce de Leon Springs State Park is about 20 miles west, Vortex Spring is about 27 miles away, and Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna is under 40 miles. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is about 44 miles south, and SR 79 is a direct route to Panama City Beach.
The hotel suits I-10 travelers, visitors in town for family events, sports teams and families using Bonifay as a lower-cost base for springs trips and beach days. Downtown Bonifay’s shops and restaurants are a short drive north on SR 79.
