DRIFT Modern Coastal Cuisine

DRIFT is the dress-up dinner on the Gulf side of Pensacola Beach. It sits on the second floor above its sister restaurant, Casino Beach Bar & Grille, at the foot of the Gulf Pier, with picture windows looking out over the water.

On the menu

• Crudo: DRIFT calls itself the restaurant that brought crudo to the Pensacola area. Start with the seared tuna.
• Brown butter scallops with smoked gouda grits
• Prime steaks, including a filet and a 16-ounce ribeye, and coconut citrus sea bass

Good to know

• Hours: dinner Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 to 10 p.m. Closed Mondays.
• Happy hour: 4 to 6 p.m. at the bars, Tuesday to Sunday.
• Reservations: book on OpenTable or through the DRIFT website. There’s a 24-hour cancellation policy.
• Price: most entrees run $30 to $50.
