About

Holley Hill Pottery & Art Studios is a family-run stoneware pottery in the community of Holley, just north of Navarre, where Marty and Brenda Stokes and their son Jason have been making pottery since 1980. Their work captures life on the Emerald Coast and the Gulf: octopus, fiddler crabs, shrimp and sea turtles turn up on everything from everyday dinnerware to one-of-a-kind wood-fired pieces. The showroom also carries framed art and original Gyotaku fish rubbings.

Find the studio at 7507 Buckeye Dr, Navarre (phone 850-939-2744, holleyhillpottery.com), on the east side of Highway 87 about six miles north of Highway 98 and twelve miles south of I-10. The property is home to two large wood-burning kilns: an anagama kiln built in 2004, which WEAR-TV calls Florida’s largest anagama kiln, and a 1940s groundhog kiln relocated from Jay in 2009 and billed as the only historically preserved, functional kiln in the state.

The showroom is listed as open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm, with appointments available by phone, and the Stokes family welcomes individual and group tours of the pottery’s operation.

The family helped found the nonprofit Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society in 2001, and each February the grounds host its WoodStoke Pottery and Kiln Festival. At the 21st edition on February 14, 2026, visitors lined up to help unload the historic kilns, shopped work by Gulf Coast potters and sampled seafood and chili. The festival is free, with a suggested donation that includes a commemorative bowl made from local clay.
