Joe Hobbs Gallery

Joe Hobbs Gallery is the downtown Pensacola showroom of glass artist Joe Hobbs, who makes hand-blown fine art glass and custom glass lighting. By his own account, he came to glass as a graffiti-obsessed art student who signed up for a class in glass art. The work he shows today, which he describes as fine art glass formed by the coast, ranges from sculptural pieces to hand-blown lighting.

The gallery is at 260 S Tarragona St, Studio 150, Pensacola, FL 32502; call 850-382-9607 or visit thejoehobbs.com. Pieces are sold in the gallery and online, custom sizes and colors are available, and Hobbs takes inquiries for hand-blown chandeliers and pendant lighting for homes and businesses.

The gallery opens for First Friday, downtown’s monthly art walk, which makes that evening a good time to visit and see the work in person. Hobbs also holds an annual Hand Blown Glass Seconds Sale. Hours vary through the week, so check the website or his Instagram (@joehobbsgallery) before making a special trip. The gallery is in downtown Pensacola within walking distance of Palafox Street, so it pairs well with the co-op galleries and artist studios nearby.
