About

The Pensacola Children’s Museum is a hands-on museum for kids from birth to age 8, run by the University of West Florida Historic Trust in downtown Pensacola. Its exhibits mix pretend play with local history and Gulf Coast nature, so young children can learn while they play and parents can explore the historic district in the same visit.

The museum is at 115 E Zaragoza St in downtown Pensacola, 850-595-5985, historicpensacola.org. On the first floor, “Our Town” includes a diner, a train station and a construction house. Other spaces include the Calming Seas Sensory Space, a quiet second-floor room with tactile elements. Kids can also play in a Publix supermarket, a Kid’s Clinic with an ambulance and operating table, and “Land and Sea: Wonders of the Gulf Coast.”

One Historic Pensacola ticket, good for seven days, covers the Pensacola Museum of History, Historic Pensacola Village, the Pensacola Children’s Museum and the Pensacola Museum of Art: $12 adults; $11 seniors 65+ and AAA, military and UWF alumni; $7 ages 3–14; free for under 3, members, UWF students and SNAP/EBT cardholders (as of September 2026).

Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, noon to 4pm; the museum is closed Mondays. On busy days the museum may limit how many people can be inside, so arrive early. There is no dedicated parking; use the paid lot near Tarragona and Church Streets or two-hour street parking.
