Perdido Artist Gallery & Gifts opened on January 4, 2019, to give Gulf Coast artists an affordable place to show and sell their work near Perdido Key. More than 50 local artists display here, and many of them help run the gallery day to day, so there’s a good chance you’ll meet one of the makers and hear the story behind a piece.
The gallery is at 5660 Segura Dr, Pensacola, FL 32507, on the way to Perdido Key; call 850-266-5474 or visit perdidoartistgallery.com. It’s part art gallery, part gift shop, with jewelry, pottery, paintings, glass work and woodwork, much of it with a coastal feel. Because the artists rotate their time in the shop, the mix of work and people changes from visit to visit.
Hours are Monday through Saturday 9am–6pm and Sunday noon–5pm. The gallery also runs small-group art classes, from seasonal painting classes (think jack-o’-lanterns, dolphins and kaleidoscope fish) to fused-glass holiday ornament workshops; check the website for the current class calendar and pricing. It’s a handy stop for locally made souvenirs on the way to or from the Perdido Key beaches.
