About

Quayside Art Gallery has been an artist-run cooperative in downtown Pensacola since 1973, and it calls itself one of the longest-running artist co-ops in the Southeast. More than 50 years on, the gallery is still stocked and run by its member artists, so the work on the walls and shelves changes as members bring in new pieces. Southern Living has featured it as a Pensacola local hotspot.

You’ll find Quayside at 17 E Zaragoza St, Pensacola, FL 32502, a short walk from Palafox Street; call 850-438-2363 or visit quaysidegallery.com. Members work in painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork and mixed media, which makes it a good stop for both wall art and smaller handmade gifts. A mural of a horse-drawn steam fire engine and its crew, a nod to the Germania Steam Fire Engine Company, decorates the building and is part of downtown’s public art scene.

The gallery is open daily from 11am to 5pm, with later hours on downtown’s art nights: until 7:30pm for the First Friday Art Walk and until 9pm on Gallery Night, which usually falls on the third Friday of the month. Quayside also hosts workshops and community events through the year.
