City of Destin’s Pinfish Classic

The City of Destin’s Pinfish Classic is a free catch-and-release fishing tournament for children ages 14 and under, held on the dock behind AJ’s Restaurant on Destin Harbor. Now in its 28th year, bring your own pole and the city supplies the bait.

Event Highlights

  • Kids’ Fishing Tournament: Catch-and-release fishing for ages 14 and under, starting at 7:00 AM.
  • Bait Provided: Bring your own pole; bait is supplied.
  • Awards: Prizes for largest and smallest pinfish in each age group, plus most fish caught overall, awarded at 8:45 AM.
