Beach Colony of Perdido Key

Beach Colony is a gated Gulf-front condominium resort at 13599 Perdido Key Drive, near the eastern end of Perdido Key. Its three high-rise buildings sit on about 11 acres with roughly 700 feet of beachfront, less than a mile from Johnson Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore. This is the Perdido Key property of that name, separate from the Beach Colony Resort on Navarre Beach.

Each building has two coded elevators and only four condos per floor, which gives most units semi-private entrances. Floor plans are mainly two and three bedrooms, with some penthouses on the top floors. Units are known for their wide circular balconies of roughly 300 square feet, nine foot ceilings and wall to wall sliding glass doors facing the Gulf. Many kitchens and baths have granite counters.

The resort has three pools: an indoor heated pool with a hot tub and two outdoor pools near the beach. Other shared amenities include Har-Tru tennis courts, a fitness center, a community room, several grilling areas and boardwalks over the dunes to the sand. The grounds are gated, and units are non-smoking.

All condos at Beach Colony are individually owned and rented by their owners or through several rental companies, so furnishings, parking passes, pet rules and beach chair service differ by unit. Balcony work on some buildings was scheduled through late 2026, so it is worth asking about current projects before booking.

The Jellyfish restaurant is a few minutes away, Lost Key Golf Club is about a mile west, Publix is roughly a mile and a half away, and Big Lagoon State Park is a short drive inland. Beach Colony suits families and groups who want an indoor pool option for cooler months and quick access to the undeveloped beaches of the National Seashore.
