Candlewood Suites Panama City Beach Pier is an 84-suite extended-stay hotel on Panama City Beach Parkway, built in 2020 and set about a mile and a half west of Pier Park. The Man in the Sea Museum is a short walk away, Frank Brown Park is under a mile east, and the Gulf is about a mile south. Shipwreck Island Waterpark and the Front Beach Road attractions are a 10 to 15 minute drive east.
Each studio suite has a full kitchen with a dishwasher, and the front desk lends out extra appliances. The 24-hour Candlewood Cupboard sells snacks, drinks and frozen meals, and complimentary bean-to-cup coffee is available. Guest laundry is free around the clock, which is a real plus for families on a week-long beach trip. There is a seasonal outdoor pool with a gazebo and grills, plus a 24-hour fitness center.
Parking is free for registered guests. Dogs and cats under 50 pounds are accepted, up to two per room, for a nightly fee with a cap for longer stays. Housekeeping is weekly, as is typical for the brand, and the minimum check-in age is 21. The property is entirely smoke free, and a small lending library of movies is kept at the front desk.
It suits travelers staying a week or longer, traveling nurses and work crews, and families who want a kitchen and laundry within a short drive of Pier Park and the beach.
