Candlewood Suites Panama City Beach Southeast is an 80-room extended-stay hotel at 7909 Panama City Beach Parkway, on the east end of the beach not far from the Hathaway Bridge. St. Andrews Bay and Publix Sports Park are each about a mile away, ZooWorld is a short drive, and St. Andrews State Park and Shipwreck Island Waterpark are within easy reach. Pier Park is about 15 minutes west.
Studio and one-bedroom suites have full kitchens with dishwashers and full size refrigerators, and specialty appliances can be borrowed from the front desk. The 24-hour Candlewood Cupboard stocks snacks, drinks and frozen meals, and coffee is available around the clock. Guest laundry is free, and there is a grilling area, a fire pit, a 24-hour fitness center and a seasonal outdoor pool that typically runs from May to November.
On-site parking carries a daily fee. Dogs and cats up to 50 pounds are welcome, two per suite, for a nightly fee plus a damage deposit. Housekeeping is weekly, and there is no restaurant on site, though the Front Beach Road and Thomas Drive restaurant strips are a short drive. The minimum check-in age is 21, and there is meeting space for small groups.
It is a good match for extended work assignments, base-related travel and families staying a week or more who want a kitchen and quick access to both the bay side and the beach.
