Days Inn by Wyndham Pensacola Historic Downtown is at 710 North Palafox Street, on the north end of Palafox near the I-110 exit and the edge of the North Hill neighborhood. It is a value-oriented option, and its location makes it easy to get in and out by car while still being a short drive or a longer walk from the downtown core.
The property has just under 100 rooms spread across two three-story buildings, with parking right on site. Rooms come with a 42 inch flat screen TV with premium channels, a microwave and a mini fridge, along with free wifi and a desk for work. Accessible rooms are available, and a 24-hour guest laundry helps on longer trips.
A free continental breakfast with cereal, fruit, yogurt and more is served each morning from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. A seasonal outdoor pool is open from March through November, from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and there is a fitness room, a picnic and barbecue area, and two meeting rooms totaling 1,600 square feet that can host up to 80 people, with catering available. From the hotel, the restaurants and bars of Palafox Street begin a few blocks to the south, and the Saenger Theatre, Plaza Ferdinand VII and the Saturday Palafox Market lie farther down the same street. North Hill’s historic homes are just to the west. Blue Wahoos Stadium, the Pensacola Bay Center, home of the Ice Flyers, Historic Pensacola Village and the bayfront are all a few minutes away by car, and Naval Air Station Pensacola and the beaches are within easy driving range.
This hotel suits travelers watching their budget, road trippers who want free parking and quick interstate access, groups arriving by bus or with trailers, and pet owners. It is a practical base for a visit built around ballgames, concerts and downtown dining when a boutique rate is not the priority.
