Extended Stay America Suites – Pensacola – University Mall is at 809 Bloodworth Lane, on a side street a five minute walk from University Town Plaza, the retail center on the site of the former University Mall. Expedia lists Pensacola International Airport and Cordova Mall each about two miles away, Pensacola State College a little farther, and Naval Air Station Pensacola about 13 miles south.
The three-story hotel has 101 rooms, each with a full kitchen that includes a refrigerator, a stovetop and a microwave. A free grab and go breakfast is available each morning. There is an on-site laundry, barbecue grills and a picnic area, and a small conference space. WiFi and parking are free.
Pets are allowed, up to two per room, for a daily fee capped per stay. There is no pool and no restaurant.
Extended Stay America keeps things simple and affordable, which makes this location popular with contractors, traveling nurses, students between leases and families waiting on a move. Groceries and restaurants are within a short drive, and the location between Interstate 10 and Interstate 110 makes it easy to reach downtown Pensacola in about 15 minutes or the beaches in roughly half an hour. Housekeeping is lighter than at a standard hotel, which is typical of the brand and part of how it keeps rates down for multi-week stays.
