Holiday Inn Pensacola – University Area

Holiday Inn Pensacola – University Area is at 7813 North Davis Highway, about two tenths of a mile from Interstate 10 exit 13. IHG lists the University of West Florida about three and a half miles away, Sam’s Fun City about four and a half miles, downtown Pensacola about seven miles and the National Naval Aviation Museum about 17 miles.

The five-story hotel has 114 rooms, including a handful of suites, and was last renovated in 2018. It is one of the few full-service hotels in this part of town. The U-Turn Bar and Kitchen serves breakfast on weekdays, a larger breakfast buffet on weekends and dinner every evening, with a bar and a happy hour. IHG lists breakfast as included in many rates. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, a fitness center and about 1,900 square feet of meeting space for groups of up to 125.

A complimentary shuttle runs to Pensacola International Airport. Parking is free in the outdoor lot, although semi trucks are not permitted. Up to two dogs or cats are allowed under a weight limit for a fee per stay.

The combination of a restaurant, a bar, meeting space and a shuttle makes this a good fit for business travelers, small conferences and visiting teams, as well as families who want to eat at the hotel after a long drive on Interstate 10. Pensacola Beach is roughly half an hour south.
