Landmark Holiday Beach Resort

Landmark Holiday Beach Resort is a 13-story Gulf-front condominium at 17501 Front Beach Road, on the west side of Panama City Beach. Built in 1982, it is one of the older buildings on this stretch and has a lower profile than the newer towers around it, which gives it a more relaxed, neighborhood feel. It markets itself as a family resort, and its layout and amenities reflect that.

The building has about 96 units. Two-bedroom plans run roughly 900 to 1,000 square feet, and three-bedroom units are around 1,175 square feet. Units have Gulf views, kitchens and balconies, and the modest unit count means fewer people sharing the pool and elevators than at the larger towers nearby.

On-site amenities include a community pool and sundeck, tennis courts, volleyball, a fitness center, a clubhouse and community barbecue grills. The beach is directly behind the building, and the west end sand here tends to be less crowded than the stretch around Pier Park and the central strip. Because the building predates most of the towers around it and each unit is owned separately, interiors and finishes vary noticeably from one condo to the next.

Several parks are a few minutes away by car, including the Pier Park dog beach, Aaron Bessant Park with its amphitheater, and Frank Brown Park with its sports fields and trails. Pier Park itself offers shopping, dining and the Russell-Fields City Pier, and Mike’s Oyster Bar is close by. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is roughly 20 minutes away.

Units at Landmark Holiday Beach Resort are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies, so furnishings, bed layouts, parking rules and extras such as seasonal beach chair service vary from one unit to the next. Its smaller scale, tennis courts and simple beachfront setting suit families and returning guests who prefer an older, quieter building over a large resort tower.
