Long Beach Resort

Long Beach Resort is a large Gulf-front condominium resort at 10517 Front Beach Road in central Panama City Beach. It stretches along about 1,300 feet of beachfront, which is unusually long for a single complex here, and the gated property has around 360 units in towers of up to 14 stories. The Resort Collection runs an on-site check-in and rental program.

Units range from studios of about 420 square feet to one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, with the largest around 1,875 square feet. Oversized balconies face the Gulf, and many units have full kitchens. Parking is in a private lot in front of the buildings rather than a garage, which some guests find easier with beach gear.

The pool area is the resort’s signature. A large lagoon pool has tropical islands and waterfalls, and there are two seasonally heated Polynesian-style pools, an oceanfront pool and three hot tubs. The Hangout, a poolside bar and grill, serves food and drinks in season. The property has 24-hour gated security and elevators in each tower. Its long frontage means the pools, bars and beach never feel far from the towers, and the resort sits among dunes that buffer the buildings from the sand.

Pier Park is about five miles west for shopping and dining, and the Front Beach Road attractions, Shipwreck Island Waterpark and the M.B. Miller County Pier are closer. Saltwater Grill and the Shoppes at Edgewater are nearby, and St. Andrews State Park is a short drive east.

Units at Long Beach Resort are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies, so furnishings, bed layouts, parking rules and extras such as seasonal beach chair service vary from one unit to the next. The wide range of unit sizes and big pool complex make it a good fit for families, groups and budget-minded travelers alike.
