Motel 6 Pensacola, FL – Airport West is at 5829 Pensacola Boulevard, the US 29 corridor on the north side of the city between Interstate 110 and Brent Lane. Despite the name, the airport is on the other side of town, about an 11 minute drive east. Expedia lists Fast Eddie’s Fun Center, a go-kart and arcade park, about a mile away and Brent Athletic Park about a mile and a half away, and a Whataburger is a three minute walk.
This is a classic two-story motel without an elevator, with a mix of queen and double bed rooms, including some smoking rooms. There is an outdoor pool, a vending area, free WiFi and a 24 hour front desk.
Parking is free right outside the rooms. Dogs stay free, one of Motel 6’s signature policies, which helps travelers on a budget who bring a pet along.
The motel suits road trippers heading north on US 29 toward Cantonment and Alabama, families headed to Fast Eddie’s and budget travelers who want to keep costs low while exploring Pensacola by car. Downtown Pensacola and the Saenger Theatre are about 15 minutes south, and University Town Plaza and the Davis Highway shopping district are a short drive east. With no breakfast on site, the fast food and diners along Pensacola Boulevard fill the gap in the morning.
