Palazzo

Palazzo is a 21-story condominium tower at 17281 Front Beach Road, a short drive west of Pier Park in Panama City Beach. Completed in 2008, it is marketed as one of the more upscale buildings on this stretch, with larger floor plans and finishes aimed at guests who want a quieter, more polished stay.

The tower holds about 129 units, which is a modest count for its height. One-bedroom plans are around 1,000 square feet, two-bedroom units about 1,300 square feet, and three-bedroom layouts range up to roughly 1,875 square feet. Every unit faces the Gulf with a private balcony, and units have full kitchens and in-unit laundry.

The pool area is elevated above the beach, with a Gulf-side pool and hot tub looking straight out over the water. There is a fitness center with Gulf views, a conference space, a dog walk area and four levels of covered parking. The building sits directly on the sand, with a beach access from the pool deck. Concierge service is also listed among the building’s features, and the lower unit count keeps waits for the elevators short in busy weeks.

Pier Park is close by for shopping, restaurants, the SkyWheel area and the Russell-Fields City Pier. Aaron Bessant Park, which hosts concerts and festivals in its amphitheater, and the Pier Park dog beach are also nearby, and Runaway Island is a casual waterfront spot for lunch. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is about 20 minutes away.

Units at Palazzo are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies, so furnishings, bed layouts, parking rules and extras such as seasonal beach chair service vary from one unit to the next. The larger units and lower density suit couples, families and small groups who want room to spread out near Pier Park without staying in a large resort complex.
