Perdido Skye

Perdido Skye is a Gulf-front condominium building at 13785 Perdido Key Drive, in the central part of Perdido Key near the Villagio shopping center. It is a smaller, eight-story building with about 46 units, and it was completed in 1998. A walkover bridge crosses the dunes from the pool deck to the beach.

Nearly every unit is a one bedroom, one bath plan of roughly 675 to 795 square feet. What makes the layout popular with families is a set of built-in bunks in the hallway, usually youth or three quarter size, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room, so many units sleep up to six. All units face the Gulf, and each has a private balcony with an unobstructed view of the beach.

The shared amenities are simple: an outdoor pool with an oversized deck that is seasonally heated, a fitness room with cardio and strength equipment, charcoal grills, an outdoor shower and on-site parking. The building has elevators and a smoke-free policy.

Perdido Skye condos are individually owned and rented through owners and several rental companies. Because of that, parking passes, decor, kitchen setups and extras like beach chairs vary by unit, and pet policies depend on the specific listing.

The Villagio next door has a coffee shop, a spa, shops and places to eat, all within walking distance. Johnson Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore are about a mile east, Publix is less than two miles away, Lost Key Golf Club is a short drive, and the Flora-Bama is roughly five miles west. Perdido Skye suits couples and small families looking for a compact Gulf-front condo with a pool, and it is also a practical base for visits to Pensacola Naval Air Station and the National Naval Aviation Museum.
