Residence Inn Pensacola Downtown is on East Chase Street at the eastern end of downtown, a few blocks inland from the bayfront and close to Veterans Memorial Park and Lions Park. It is an all-suite Marriott hotel built around longer stays, although plenty of guests book it for a weekend because of the extra room and the kitchen.
The hotel has 78 suites, each with separate living and sleeping areas and a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances, so it is easy to cook, store groceries or spread out with kids. High speed internet is included, and there is an on-site guest laundry for longer visits, plus valet dry cleaning for business travelers.
A free hot breakfast is served every morning, starting at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays and a little later on weekends, and the hotel also hosts a manager’s reception. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m., and guests must be 21 or older to check in. Outside there is a pool, a garden area and a basketball court, and inside there is a fitness center and a business center. Parking is free on site, and an electric vehicle charging station is available. Pets are welcome with a fee, with up to two pets per suite, which is a real plus for long stays or road trips with a dog. Mobile key lets guests skip the front desk.
The location gives quick access to the east side of downtown and the bay. Veterans Memorial Park and the bayfront trail are close by, and the Pensacola Bay Center and Seville Square are within a longer walk or a very short drive. Palafox Street, Plaza de Luna and Blue Wahoos Stadium are a few minutes away by car, and Pensacola International Airport is about five miles away. The hotel does not run a shuttle, so a car or rideshare is the easiest way to get around.
Residence Inn fits travelers on extended work assignments, families who want a kitchen and separate sleeping space, relocation and medical stays, and pet owners. It is also a sensible pick for groups who want free parking and breakfast included while staying within a short drive of everything downtown.
