Seychelles Beach Resort

Seychelles Beach Resort is a 22-story Gulf-front condominium tower at 5115 Gulf Drive, near the eastern tip of Panama City Beach. Completed in 2006, it sits next door to Schooners and about two minutes by car from St. Andrews State Park, which makes it one of the closest high-rises to the park.

The tower has about 208 units in one-, two- and three-bedroom plans, from roughly 870 square feet to about 1,440 square feet. Units have island-inspired decor in many cases, full kitchens, washer and dryer and Gulf-facing balconies. Parking is in a secured garage with assigned spaces.

The pool deck has two Gulf-front pools, one heated seasonally, and hot tubs, and a dune walkover leads to about 200 feet of beach. There is a fitness center, a game room, a basketball court, a community room and conference space. The beach here tends to be quieter than the central strip, with calm water on many summer days. Owners also have access to a conference center and community room, and covered parking includes one to three spaces per unit.

Schooners, a beach bar and restaurant known for its evening cannon salute to the sunset, is right next door, and Patches Pub, the Grand Marlin and Treasure Island Seafood Market are close. St. Andrews State Park has trails, a fishing pier, snorkeling near the jetties and the Shell Island shuttle. Pier Park is a longer drive west.

Units at Seychelles are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies, so furnishings, bed layouts, parking rules and extras such as seasonal beach chair service vary from one unit to the next. Its closeness to the state park and walkable dining make it a good fit for couples and families who want the quieter east end.
