Shipwatch Surf & Yacht Club is a Gulf-front condominium complex at 16787 Perdido Key Drive, on the west end of Perdido Key next to Perdido Towers. It sits on about 500 feet of beachfront, and it also has river access across the street on Old River, where its boating facilities are located.

The complex is made up of several lettered buildings, and rental listings show units on floors two through eight. Units are mainly two bedroom, two bath plans of about 1,180 square feet and three bedroom, two bath plans of about 1,360 square feet. Most units have large beachfront balconies that open from the living room and the main bedroom.

Shared amenities include two outdoor pools, one beachfront and one riverside, plus an indoor hot tub and sauna on the river side. There are lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, grilling areas, elevators, boat docks and a launch. Rental companies usually include one parking pass per unit.

Every condo at Shipwatch is individually owned and rented through its owner or one of several rental companies. That means furnishings, pet rules, parking and beach chair service vary by unit, and boat slip access may depend on the owner. Read each listing before booking.

The Flora-Bama and its marina and watersports rentals are less than a mile west. Perdido Key State Park is about two and a half miles east, and Johnson Beach and Lost Key Golf Club are roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive. Shipwatch suits families, anglers and boaters who want a Gulf-front condo with a second pool and dock access on the calm waters of Old River.
