Splash Resort

Splash Resort is a high-rise beachfront condominium resort at 17739 Front Beach Road on the west side of Panama City Beach, west of Pier Park and the Highway 79 intersection. It was built with families in mind, and its pool complex, designed as a small water park, is its signature feature. The towers sit directly on the Gulf, so every stay includes beach access without crossing the road, and the condos are arranged in East and West towers that rise above twenty stories.

Units range from studios to three-bedroom corner condos. Studios sleep two or three, one-bedroom units with bunk areas sleep up to six, two-bedroom units with bunk areas sleep eight to ten, and three-bedroom corner units sleep up to eleven. Every unit faces the Gulf with a private balcony, and condos include a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and linens and starter supplies. Views from the upper floors stretch along the shoreline in both directions. Because the condos are individually owned, furnishings vary, but the building offers a consistent set of shared amenities and a registration process at check-in, where a per-vehicle parking fee is collected.

The pool deck is the centerpiece. There are three beachfront pools, a heated pool with a hot tub, children’s interactive aqua play pools with spray toys, kids’ water slides, a splash pad, and a lazy river. A poolside bar and grill serves food and drinks without leaving the deck, and the resort has also offered a dive-in movie setup at the pool. Indoors there is a fitness center, an arcade, and a mini bowling area, and a covered sky-walk connects the parking area to the towers. Seasonal beach chair and umbrella service runs roughly from March through October.

The largest rental program at the resort is run by Panhandle Getaways, a local management company that provides 24-hour guest services and bundles free daily activity perks such as attraction and dining discounts. Other local companies also rent units here. Splash is close to Celadon Beach Resort, Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, and the Palmetto Beachfront Hotel, and Front Beach Road connects easily to Pier Park, Frank Brown Park, and the Grand Theatre to the east. Heading west, it is a short drive to Laguna Beach, Camp Helen State Park, and the 30A communities.

Splash Resort is a strong match for families with young children who want a condo kitchen, laundry, and a pool deck that keeps kids busy between beach sessions. Couples looking for a quiet, adults-oriented stay may prefer a smaller property, but for multigenerational groups and families who want water slides and a lazy river steps from the Gulf, this resort was built for exactly that kind of trip.
