SureStay Studio by Best Western Pensacola is at 7230 Plantation Road, among the budget hotels just west of North Davis Highway and south of Interstate 10. University Town Plaza is about an eight minute walk. Some booking sites still list the property under an earlier name, M Stay Suites.
The 64 rooms are spread across eight two-story buildings, and they are set up as studios with kitchens or kitchenettes for cooking. A free continental breakfast is served each morning, and there is a seasonal outdoor pool that runs from March through October, a small fitness room and a guest laundry. WiFi is free, and parking is free as well, including space for RVs, buses and trucks.
Dogs and cats are accepted, up to two per room, for a nightly fee with a per-stay cap.
The kitchen studios make this a reasonable pick for longer budget stays, such as work assignments, sports tournaments and families on a road trip. Expedia lists Grizzly Axes about a mile away, the University of West Florida about five miles, the Saenger Theatre downtown about eight miles and Naval Air Station Pensacola about 13 miles, with the airport around 13 minutes by car. Plantation Road has several other budget motels, so travelers comparing options will find them side by side. Groceries at University Town Plaza make it easy to stock the kitchen on the first night.
