Tru by Hilton Panama City Beach opened in July 2024 on North Urban Blu Drive, just off US 98 on the east side of Panama City Beach. The hotel has 90 rooms in queen, queen with sofa bed and king layouts. Publix Sports Park is about a mile away, ZooWorld is a couple of minutes by car, the Gulf beaches are two to three miles south and Pier Park is about 15 minutes west.
Tru’s free breakfast is built around its Top It bar, with more than 35 toppings and a pancake machine. The lobby doubles as a hangout with work space, a game zone with a pool table and a 24/7 market and coffee station. Outside, a heated pool is open year round with a barbecue and picnic area, and there is a 24-hour fitness center, meeting rooms and guest laundry.
Parking is free, with EV charging available. Dogs are welcome for a one-time fee, and Hilton Honors members can use a digital key. Streaming is built into the room TVs. Check-in is at 4 pm, and the pool has a mobility lift.
The hotel suits sports families in town for tournaments at Publix Sports Park, younger travelers and budget-minded groups who want a lively lobby, a solid breakfast and easy access to both the beach and the Thomas Drive area.
