Tru by Hilton Pensacola I-10 North Davis Highway is at 7100 North Davis Highway, on the stretch of Davis Highway just south of Interstate 10 and across from the University Town Plaza shopping area. It is one of the newer hotels in this corridor, and Hilton lists Pensacola International Airport about three miles away, with downtown Pensacola and the Pensacola Bay Center each about six miles south and Blue Wahoos Stadium about nine miles away.
Tru rooms are compact and modern, and the brand puts its energy into the lobby, with open seating and space to work or play games. Hilton lists an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a business center and a free hot breakfast. Rooms have streaming entertainment, and connecting rooms are available on request.
Parking is free on site. The hotel is pet friendly, accepting up to two pets per room under a weight limit for a nonrefundable fee. There is no airport shuttle.
This Tru is a good fit for budget-minded travelers who still want a newer building, such as youth sports families, visiting students and business travelers who spend their days out of the hotel. Restaurants and stores at University Town Plaza are close by, and the Plantation Road hotels and LivSmart Studios are just to the west. Pensacola Beach is about a 30 minute drive.
