About

Anthropologie brings its curated mix of women’s clothing and home decor to Grand Boulevard, the open-air Town Center that serves as Miramar Beach’s main shopping destination alongside Sandestin’s resort properties. The store gives Emerald Coast visitors a boutique-style shopping stop without leaving the Sandestin area, stocking the same distinctive, unexpected merchandise the brand is known for at its stores nationwide.

The Grand Boulevard location operates from Building 440, Suite S105, at 495 Grand Boulevard, Miramar Beach, FL 32550, and can be reached at 850-837-1223. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM, hours that fit easily into a beach day that starts with a morning swim and ends with an afternoon browsing Grand Boulevard’s shops.

Anthropologie opened its Grand Boulevard store on May 18, 2016, filling roughly 9,000 square feet in the district’s New Center building. Developers Howard Group and Merchants Retail Partners brought the retailer in as part of a wave of upscale tenants that also included Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, J. McLaughlin, and Starbucks, part of a broader push to build Grand Boulevard into a shopping destination that could compete with anything found in a larger city.

Inside, the store follows the same formula that built Anthropologie’s national following: women’s clothing, jewelry, and accessories displayed alongside home decor, furniture, and gifts, all curated with the brand’s stated mission to surprise and delight with unexpected, distinctive finds for a closet or a home. Shoppers will find seasonal clothing collections merchandised next to candles, glassware, and small furniture pieces, an approach that turns a quick stop into a longer browse for most first-time visitors.

Anthropologie traces its own history to 1992, when Urban Outfitters founder Richard Hayne opened the first location in Wayne, Pennsylvania, aiming the new brand at women slightly older than Urban Outfitters’ core shopper. The concept grew under parent company URBN, which also owns Urban Outfitters, Free People, and the wedding retailer BHLDN, into a chain that now counts more than 200 stores across the United States and Canada, each one built around the same mix of apparel and home goods found at the Grand Boulevard location.

Because the Grand Boulevard store belongs to that same nationwide network, shoppers who know the brand from home will recognize the layout and merchandising the moment they walk in, while first-time visitors get an easy introduction to a retailer known for mixing statement dresses and denim with candles, dinnerware, and small furniture in the same sightline. That range makes the store useful for two very different kinds of Emerald Coast shopping trips, restocking a beach wardrobe with something new to wear to dinner, or picking up a gift or a piece of home decor to bring back from vacation.

For visitors staying at Sandestin or nearby South Walton beaches, the Grand Boulevard Anthropologie works well as a stop between lunch and dinner, or as a rainy day alternative to the beach. The store sits within walking distance of Grand Boulevard’s other retailers and restaurants, including Cantina Laredo and Fleming’s, so a single visit to the district can cover a shopping stop and a sit-down meal without needing to move the car between them.
