Regency Towers is a Gulf-front condominium complex at 1600 Via De Luna Drive on Pensacola Beach, about two miles east of the Boardwalk in a quieter residential stretch of the island. It is a different property from the Regency Towers in Panama City Beach. The eight-story complex was built in 1976 and has East and West towers with about 125 condos between them. Much of Santa Rosa Island on either side of the town is protected by the Gulf Islands National Seashore, which keeps long stretches of dunes and beach free of buildings.
Floor plans include one, two and three bedroom units, and most have private balconies with wide Gulf views. Many units have been fully renovated with stone counters and tile floors. Two parking spaces per unit are typical.
Shared amenities include a beachfront pool, a clubhouse with a kitchen, a fitness room, tennis and pickleball courts and elevators. The association has on-site management, and the free Pensacola Beach trolley stops nearby for trips to restaurants and the Boardwalk. The building is known as one of the few Gulf-front complexes on the island that welcomes pets, although each owner and rental company sets its own pet rules.
Regency Towers condos are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies. Beach chair service, parking passes, pet fees and furnishings vary from unit to unit, so confirm what is included in your listing. The sand along this part of Pensacola Beach is fine and white, and summer brings long stretches of calm, clear water. Sea turtles nest here from May through October, so guests are asked to keep beach-facing lights low after dark and to remove chairs, tents and toys from the beach at night.
The Park East snorkeling reefs are a short drive east, and the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, Casino Beach and the Gulf Pier are about a five minute drive west. Fort Pickens and the Gulf Islands National Seashore are at the far west end of the island, and downtown Pensacola is across the bridges on the mainland. Regency Towers suits families, couples and travelers with dogs who want a Gulf-front condo away from the busiest part of the beach.
