Caribbean Resort is a Gulf-front condominium tower at 8477 Gulf Boulevard on Navarre Beach, just west of the Pearl of Navarre and a short drive from the Navarre Beach Pier. Completed in 1999, the building has only three units per floor, which gives it the feel of a low-density building even though it rises well above the neighboring low-rises. Only a short strip of Santa Rosa Island is developed at Navarre Beach, and undeveloped protected land lies on both sides, including the Gulf Islands National Seashore to the west, so the shoreline here rarely feels crowded.
Most units are three bedroom Gulf-front condos, and because there are only three per floor, end units have views in several directions. Floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors open onto private balconies facing the beach. Rental listings show three bedroom units sleeping from six to ten guests.
Shared amenities include a seasonally heated Gulf-side pool, two hot tubs, a large sundeck and covered lanai, beach cabanas that provide shade near the sand, and a picnic area with charcoal grills. There is storage for beach toys, and the beach walkover is designed for wagons, strollers and wheelchairs.
Caribbean Resort condos are individually owned and rented through their owners and several rental companies. Beach chair service, parking, pet rules and furnishings vary from unit to unit, so check what your listing includes. Summer on Navarre Beach usually brings calm, clear water over white sand. From May through October the beach is a sea turtle nesting area, so lights facing the Gulf are kept low at night and beach gear should be picked up each evening.
The Navarre Beach Pier, one of the longest fishing piers on the Gulf, is a short walk or drive east, and the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary offers snorkeling reefs close to shore. The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center and local restaurants near the causeway are minutes away, and rental listings put both Pensacola and Destin about 25 minutes away by car. Caribbean Resort suits families and groups who want a quiet, low-density building with three bedroom condos and shaded space by the beach.
