Hilton Garden Inn Destin Commons is one of the newest hotels in Destin, on Legendary Drive at the edge of the Destin Commons open-air shopping center. The mall’s stores, restaurants and movie theater are a few minutes’ walk away, and Henderson Beach State Park is under two miles southwest along US 98.

The Garden Grille and Bar serves a cooked-to-order breakfast (not included in every rate) and casual American dinners, and the bar has a self-pour beer wall alongside full service. There is also a grab-and-go market, an outdoor pool with a patio, a fitness center, a game room and meeting rooms. Self-parking is free, with electric vehicle chargers for guests, and there is no valet. Up to two dogs or cats are allowed for a per-stay fee, and connecting rooms and cribs are available for families.

Rooms come in king and two-queen layouts, including accessible king rooms, and Hilton Honors members can use a digital key. The Destin Harbor Boardwalk is about six miles west, Silver Sands Premium Outlets about eight miles east, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport roughly 15 miles away.

It suits shoppers, families who want restaurants within walking distance, and travelers who like a hotel bar and dinner on site after a beach day. Because the hotel is on the north side of US 98, guests heading to the beach cross the highway at the Commons light, and the drive to the nearest public access takes only a few minutes.
