Rodeway Inn Panama City is a two-story, 50-room budget motel on US 98 on the west side of Panama City, between St. Andrews and the Hathaway Bridge. St. Andrews Bay is about a five minute walk, Gulf Coast State College is under a mile, and Port Panama City is a couple of minutes by car. Panama City Beach is about ten minutes west across the bridge.
Rooms have microwaves, refrigerators, cable TV and air conditioning. There is a seasonal outdoor pool, a small business center, guest laundry, vending and coffee and tea in the lobby. The property has no elevators, so upper rooms are reached by stairs.
Parking is free and includes space for RVs, buses and trucks, and Wi-Fi is free. Dogs up to 35 pounds are welcome, two per room, for a nightly fee, and pet-friendly rooms are assigned on request. The front desk is staffed around the clock, so late check-ins after a long drive are straightforward.
It suits cost-conscious travelers, college visitors, port and shipyard workers and anyone with a dog who wants a simple room close to both the beach and town. Several other value hotels sit along this same stretch of US 98, and St. Andrews’ waterfront restaurants are a few minutes east. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is about 40 minutes by car.
