Panama City Symphony

Panama City Symphony is Bay County’s orchestra, now in its 31st season with the 2026–27 lineup “Horizons: A Season of Discovery.” The nonprofit orchestra presents core classical concerts, holiday programs and special events, and it launched the season at its annual soirée in September 2026.

Concerts are spread across three Bay County venues: the Barbara W. Nelson Fine Arts Center at Bay High School (700 seats), St. Andrew Baptist Church (753 seats) and the Helen Blackburn Auditorium at Arnold High School (1,000 seats).

The 2026–27 season runs from October 30, 2026, with “Renaissance to Rock-n-Roll, A Frightful Fusion of Sound,” to April 10, 2027, with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Highlights in between include Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (November 14), a free holiday concert with Panama City Ballet (November 28), A Grand Symphony Christmas (December 5), Beethoven’s “Eroica” with Rautavaara’s Cantus Arcticus (January 30) and a Tchaikovsky Valentine program (February 13). The orchestra is searching for a new music director and conductor during the season, and it also holds an Emerging Artists Competition.
