Happy Life Cruises

Happy Life Cruises runs an 80-foot custom paddlewheel riverboat on the Destin Harbor, with indoor and open-air decks, including a Sky Deck up top. It works as a floating venue, and the schedule changes by the night: murder mystery dinner theater, karaoke, sunset cruises with a DJ, late-night dock parties and daytime harbor cruises where you can watch for dolphins.

The murder mystery cruise

The headliner is the murder mystery dinner cruise, with evening sailings on Tuesdays and Thursdays and brunch and sunset versions on Sundays. Dinner cruises serve a three-course meal (a Caesar salad, a choice of entrees and key lime pie), and there’s a full bar on board.

Private events

The boat can be booked for weddings, including ceremonies on the Sky Deck, as well as birthdays, holiday parties and other private events for groups of more than 100.

Good to know

• Boarding: on the Destin Harbor boardwalk. Look for the Happy Life Cruises signs.
• Booking: online, with a deposit to hold a date for private events. Check the booking calendar for current times, since departures vary by cruise.
• Cancellations: at least two days ahead for a refund, with deposits fully refunded for weather, mechanical or medical cancellations.
• Late-night dock parties: adults only.
