The Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise runs 2.5 hours and is exactly what it sounds like, except better executed than that description suggests. Professional improv actors work the room while a three-course dinner comes out in time with the plot. Guests get pulled into the story as witnesses and suspects, the actors adjust to the crowd, and the storylines change, which is why a lot of people book it twice.
The food is not an afterthought. Dinner opens with Caesar salad and warm yeast rolls, then a main course of creole pasta with shrimp, crawfish, and andouille sausage in a lobster cream sauce alongside pan-sauteed chicken breast in lemon butter, with roasted yellow squash and zucchini. Key lime pie closes it out. Braised short ribs are a $15 upgrade, and there is a vegan spinach and artichoke cavatelli for anyone who needs it. Full bar throughout.
