Candlewood Suites Destin-Sandestin Area is an IHG extended-stay hotel on US 98 in Miramar Beach, about a mile north of the Gulf and a short walk from Silver Sands Premium Outlets. The four-story building has 75 studio and one-bedroom suites.
Every suite has a full kitchen with a cooktop, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and cookware, and the on-site market sells groceries and snacks. Guest laundry is free and open around the clock. There is a seasonal outdoor pool, a gazebo with gas grills and picnic tables, and a 24-hour fitness center. Parking is free. Dogs are welcome, up to two per suite with a weight limit, for a nightly fee capped per stay. Housekeeping is weekly, and a Lending Locker holds kitchen extras and household items guests can borrow.
The Seascape golf course is about a six-minute walk, Rainforest Black Light Golf and Arcade is next door, and Silver Sands is under a mile away. Sandestin is about two miles east, Grand Boulevard two and a half, and Destin Commons about four miles west. Seaside on Scenic 30A is roughly 18 miles away.
It suits families on longer beach stays, traveling professionals, and dog owners who want to cook and do laundry without leaving the property. Check-in is at 3 p.m., and guests must be 21 or older to check in.
