Candlewood Suites Panama City – Tyndall AFB opened in June 2025 on North Tyndall Parkway, the US 98 corridor that runs through Callaway and Parker on the east side of Panama City toward Tyndall Air Force Base. The hotel has 91 suites, and the base’s main gate is about a ten minute drive south. Shopping centers and restaurants line the parkway, and downtown Panama City is about 15 minutes west.
Studio and one-bedroom suites all include fully equipped kitchens, so it is designed for longer stays. Bean-to-cup coffee is available, and the hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor pool, free guest laundry, EV chargers and meeting space for up to 50 people. Housekeeping is daily.
Parking is free and the lot can take RVs, trailers and trucks, which is useful for military moves and work crews. Dogs up to 75 pounds are welcome, two per suite, for a one-time fee per stay, and there is an off-leash pet area on site.
The hotel is aimed squarely at military families on temporary duty or relocation, contractors working on the ongoing Tyndall rebuild, and anyone needing a kitchen suite on the east side of the bay. Mexico Beach is about 30 minutes east, and the Panama City Beach sand is roughly 30 minutes west. Check-in is at 3 pm, and the minimum check-in age is 18.
