Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol is a Gulf-front townhome-style condominium complex on Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach, just east of Destin. The three-story buildings sit directly on the beach, with a private stretch of sand reserved for owners and guests.

Built in 1980, Costa del Sol has 30 units, according to association and county records compiled by Emerald Coast Condo Map. Rentals are three-bedroom units with three to three and a half bathrooms, spread over multiple levels with separate living areas, and they sleep fourteen to fifteen guests.

The main draw is the private Gulf-front beach area rather than a long list of shared facilities. Rental companies list high-speed internet and offer beach chair and umbrella rental in season. Rental listings reviewed do not allow pets.

Pompano Joe’s and other beachside restaurants along Scenic Gulf Drive are nearby, and the road has a paved path for walking and biking. Silver Sands Premium Outlets is less than two miles east, Destin Commons is about two miles west, and the Village of Baytowne Wharf and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin are a short drive east.

Costa del Sol suits large families and groups who want a multi-level townhome layout with space to spread out, directly on the beach. The separate living areas on different floors make it practical for two families traveling together or for reunions that need more beds than a standard condo offers.
